Experiential Learning Fund

The Experiential Learning Fund supports Faculties in introducing, expanding or enhancing experiential learning in their undergraduate curriculum. The funding provided for each successful application will vary according to the expenses incurred. It may cover subsidy for students to participate in the projects and for faculty expenses.

There are two rounds of applications annually:

April/May (First Round) – for experiential learning projects to take place in the coming academic year; and

October/November (Second Round) – for experiential learning projects to take place in the January term and summer.

For Students

GHELF is awarded on a project, not individual basis.  GHELF is granted to support student-initiated experiential learning projects to be undertaken by a group of students, but not to individual students to support their chosen activities.

Under the prevailing regulations, projects should engage students in a quality learning experience outside HK for at least two weeks within a course of activity lasting no less than three weeks.
